Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Pour the activated yeast mixture and olive oil into the well of the flour mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- 4
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5
Let the Dough Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
Topping Preparation
Assemble and Bake Pizza
- 8
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- 9
Shape the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll out or stretch the dough into a 12-inch pizza base.
- 10
Add Sauce and Toppings
Spread the pizza sauce evenly on the dough. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by the cooked wild boar, red onion, black olives, and grated Parmesan cheese.
- 11
Bake the Pizza
Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 12
Garnish and Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve hot.
