Prepare the Espresso
Brew the espresso coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature.

Whip the Cream
In a bowl, combine the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.

Combine Mascarpone
In another bowl, add the mascarpone cheese and gently fold in the whipped cream until fully combined.

Soak Ladyfingers
Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso for about 1-2 seconds, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a serving dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone layer on top.

Chill
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
