Method

Preparing the Sweet Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Add Sugar

After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar until fully dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 4

    Squeeze Lemons

While the tea is cooling, juice 2 fresh lemons into a measuring cup, being careful to remove any seeds.

  2. 5

    Mix Lemon Juice

Once the tea has cooled, stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice into the sweet tea mixture.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 6

    Add Moonshine

Pour in 1 cup of moonshine into the sweet tea mixture. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Serving

  1. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Pour the Sweet Tea Shine into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves. Serve chilled.
