Method

Prepare Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Brew Tea

Once boiling, remove from heat, add 4 black tea bags, and steep for 5-7 minutes depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.

Sweeten Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If desired, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar or honey while the tea is still warm to help it dissolve. Adjust sweetness to taste.

Cool Tea

  1. 5

    Chill

Allow the tea to come to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until well chilled.

Serve Iced Tea

  1. 6

    Prepare Glasses

Fill glasses with ice cubes (about 1/2 cup to 1 cup of ice per glass).

  2. 7

    Pour Tea

Pour the chilled tea over the ice in each glass.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint leaves, if desired.
