Method

Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-cup bundt pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and Godiva chocolate liqueur. Mix until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

  5. 5

    Add Boiling Water

Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is well combined. It will be thin.

  6. 6

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool the Cake

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Chocolate Glaze Preparation

  1. 8

    Prepare Glaze

In a medium saucepan over low heat, whisk together cocoa powder, heavy cream, powdered sugar, Godiva chocolate liqueur, and vanilla extract until smooth and combined.

  2. 9

    Cool Glaze

Remove from heat and let the glaze cool slightly before pouring it over the cooled bundt cake.

Serving

  1. 10

    Serve with Ice Cream

Slice the bundt cake and serve each slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side for an indulgent treat.
