Pork Chop

Truffled Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Method

Pork Chop

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chop

Remove the pork chop from the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork Chop

Rub the pork chop with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary on all sides.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pork Chop

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chop and sear it for about 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  4. 4

    Rest the Pork Chop

Remove the pork chop from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Truffled Mashed Sweet Potatoes

  1. 5

    Prepare Sweet Potatoes

Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into uniform pieces for even cooking.

  2. 6

    Cook Sweet Potatoes

Place the chopped sweet potatoes in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.

  3. 7

    Mash the Sweet Potatoes

Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream, truffle oil, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 8

    Blend Until Smooth

Use a potato masher or hand mixer to blend the sweet potatoes until they are smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
