Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars

Once melted, remove from heat and stir in 2 cups granulated sugar and 1 cup brown sugar until well combined.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 tsp salt.

  6. 6

    Mix Everything Together

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips.

  7. 7

    Bake

Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool

Allow the brownies to cool for about 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
