Preparing the Veggie Burger Patties

Mash the Beans
In a large bowl, mash the cooked black beans with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.

Combine Ingredients
Add the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the mashed beans. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Shape Patties
Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties. If the mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs as needed.

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Cut Potatoes
Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips to resemble fries.

Bake Fries
Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
Assembling the Burger

Optional: Toast the burger buns on a skillet or in a toaster until lightly browned.
