Main Ingredients

Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus and trim the tough ends. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

    Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F / 190°C to 200°C).

  2. 5

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and place on the grill skin-side down. Grill for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 6

    Grill the Asparagus

While the salmon is grilling, place the asparagus on the grill perpendicular to the grates. Grill for about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and slightly charred.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Once cooked, remove the salmon and asparagus from the grill. Serve the grilled salmon on a plate with the asparagus on the side.

  2. 8

    Garnish (Optional)

You can garnish the salmon with fresh herbs like dill or parsley and a lemon wedge for an extra burst of flavor.
