Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse and pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Cooking
- 2
Fry the Chicken Wings
Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C). Carefully add the chicken wings in batches, frying them for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
For Buffalo sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes. For BBQ sauce, combine BBQ sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder in a separate saucepan. Heat and stir until well mixed and warmed through.
- 4
Coat the Wings
Once the chicken wings are cooked, place them in a large bowl and pour your desired sauce (Buffalo or BBQ) over them. Toss to coat the wings evenly with the sauce.
Serving
- 5
Serve the Chicken Wings
Transfer the coated chicken wings to a serving platter. Optionally, serve with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side.
