Chicken Tenders
Dipping Sauce (optional)
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in the third bowl.
Cooking
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken strip first in the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each piece is well coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.
