Method
Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Chicken Preparation
- 2
Grill the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
Combine and Serve
- 4
Combine the Pasta and Sauce
In a large mixing bowl or the pot used to cook the pasta, combine the drained fettuccine with the Alfredo sauce. Toss until the pasta is evenly coated.
- 5
Serve with Grilled Chicken
Plate the pasta and top with sliced grilled chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
