Warm the piada flatbreads in a skillet over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side until they are soft and pliable.
Compound Butter Preparation

Make the Compound Butter
In a small bowl, mix the softened unsalted butter, fresh herbs, lemon zest, and salt until well combined. Shape the mixture into a log and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until firm.
Assembly

Spread a generous amount of the compound butter on each piece of warm piada bread.

Top the buttered bread with the drained sardines, placing them evenly across the surface.
