Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to create an even layer.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream to the cream cheese, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Vanilla and Eggs

Add the vanilla extract and beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing until just combined after each addition.

  4. 8

    Add Flour

Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 9

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.

Baking the Cheesecake

  1. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

  2. 11

    Cool the Cheesecake

Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour. Then remove it from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.

  3. 12

    Chill the Cheesecake

Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
