Zucchini Chips

Marinara Sauce

Method

Zucchini Chips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Zucchini

Wash and dry the zucchini. Slice them thinly (about 1/8 inch thick) using a sharp knife or a mandoline for uniformity.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C).

  3. 3

    Season the Zucchini

In a large bowl, toss the zucchini slices with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the seasoned zucchini slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not overlapping.

  5. 5

    Bake the Chips

Bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours or until they are crispy and golden brown, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.

Marinara Sauce

  1. 6

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 7

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Add the canned crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar to the saucepan. Stir to combine.

  3. 8

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. 9

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve the marinara sauce warm alongside the crispy zucchini chips.
