Cooking Gnocchi

Boil Gnocchi
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the potato gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, usually about 2-3 minutes until they float to the top. Drain and set aside.

Add Tomatoes
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.

Finish Sauce
Add the chopped basil leaves to the sauce, stir well, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Combining and Serving

Toss Gnocchi with Sauce
Add the cooked gnocchi to the sauce, gently tossing to coat the gnocchi evenly with the sauce.

Plate the Dish
Serve the gnocchi in bowls, topped with cubed fresh mozzarella and fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for added flavor.
