Fried Pickles

Method

Fried Pickles Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pickles

Pat the sliced pickles dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Set up Dredging Station

In one bowl, place the flour. In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a third bowl, combine cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  3. 3

    Dredge the Pickles

Dip each pickle slice into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the cornmeal mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Fry the Pickles

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the pickles in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Jalapeno Ranch Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix the Dressing

In a small bowl, combine ranch dressing, chopped jalapeno, lime juice, and garlic powder. Stir until well combined.
