Method

Prepare the Chicken Filling

  1. 1

    Cook Vegetables

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic; sauté until the vegetables are tender.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, whisking constantly until thickened.

  3. 3

    Add Chicken and Peas

Stir in the shredded chicken, peas, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Assemble the Rolls

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 5

    Roll Out Puff Pastry

On a floured surface, roll out each puff pastry sheet and cut it into squares.

  3. 6

    Fill and Fold

Place a spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the pastry over and seal the edges with a fork.

  4. 7

    Brush with Egg

Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the tops with the beaten egg.

  5. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Prepare the Gravy
