Method

Prepare the Sausage

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, ground pork, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

2

Stuff the Sausage

Using a sausage stuffer, fill the casings with the sausage mixture, being careful not to overfill. Twist sausages into 14-inch links.

3

Cook the Sausage

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausages until browned and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.

Assemble the Sandwich

4

Prepare the Bread

Slice the pretzel buns in half and lightly toast them if desired.

5

Add Toppings

Place the cooked sausage on the bottom half of the bun. Top with your choice of sauerkraut and apple slices, or dill pickle slices, and drizzle with honey-horseradish mustard.

6

Serve

Place the top half of the bun on the sandwich and serve immediately.
