Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Blacken the Steak

Preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Rub the ribeye steak with blackening seasoning on both sides. Add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Salad Assembly

  1. 2

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine fresh spinach, gorgonzola cheese, cherry tomatoes, and pickled onions. Toss gently to mix.

  2. 3

    Add Dressing

Drizzle blue cheese dressing over the salad and toss again until everything is well coated.

Garlic Toast Preparation

  1. 4

    Make Garlic Toast

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. In a small bowl, mix together the unsalted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Spread this mixture evenly over the cut sides of the baguette. Place the bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Slice the blackened steak against the grain. Serve the salad on plates, topping each with slices of the steak. Serve garlic toast on the side.
