1

Prepare glass

If desired, run the lime wedge around the rim of a highball or Collins glass and dip rim into coarse salt to coat lightly. Fill the glass with cubed ice and set aside.

2

Mix drink

In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass filled with a little ice, combine 2 oz Montezuma blanco tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz agave syrup. Shake or stir briefly (about 8–10 seconds) to chill and combine.

3

Assemble

Strain the tequila-lime mixture into the prepared ice-filled glass. Top with 4 oz grapefruit soda, gently stir once or twice to integrate without losing carbonation.

4

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a grapefruit wheel or wedge and a lime wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw or stirring stick.
