Method
Cocktail
Rim the glass
Run the lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass to moisten. Dip the rim into the coarse salt until evenly coated. Set the glass aside.
Mix
Fill a cocktail shaker with the measured ice. Add 2 oz Montezuma Blanco tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz agave syrup, and 0.5 oz orange liqueur (if using).
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted.
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared salt-rimmed glass over fresh ice (or serve up without ice, if preferred).
Garnish & Serve
Garnish with the lime wheel on the rim or floated on top. Serve immediately.
Taste and adjust: if you prefer sweeter, add another 0.25–0.5 oz agave syrup and gently stir; if brighter, add a splash (0.25 oz) more lime juice.
