Preparing the French Toast
- 1
Make the egg mixture
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- 2
Dip the bread
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
- 3
Cook the French toast
Place the dipped bread onto the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining bread slices.
Preparing the Toppings
- 4
Whip the cream
In a mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.
- 5
Make the berry sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the fresh berries and sugar. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the berries have softened and released their juices. Remove from heat.
- 6
Toast the walnuts
In a dry skillet over medium heat, add the chopped walnuts. Toast for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant and golden brown.
Serving the French Toast
