Preparing the Fish

Bread the Fish
Dip each fish fillet first into the egg mixture, then coat it with the flour mixture.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Fry the Fish
Carefully add the breaded fish fillets to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Making Hushpuppies

Mix Ingredients
In a bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the chopped onion, milk, and vegetable oil until just combined.

Fry Hushpuppies
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil (from frying the fish) and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Making Coleslaw

Combine the Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix together shredded cabbage, grated carrot, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Refrigerate until serving.
Making Tartar Sauce

Mix the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, relish, lemon juice, chopped capers, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
