Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread Mixture

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add the Bread and Mix-ins

Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and add it to the mixture. Stir in the blueberries, white chocolate chips, and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.

  3. 3

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Make sure the bread is evenly soaked in the custard mixture.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pudding

Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

  5. 5

    Make the Lemon Cream Sauce

While the pudding is baking, prepare the lemon cream sauce. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/4 cup of sugar, and the juice and zest of 1 lemon. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once the bread pudding is baked, let it cool slightly before serving. Drizzle the warm lemon cream sauce over each serving.
