For the Tiramisu
Method
Preparing the Tiramisu
- 1
Prepare the Coffee
Brew 200 ml of espresso coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature.
- 2
Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- 3
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
- 4
Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 5
Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- 6
Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 7
Serve and Garnish
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
