Prep the Seafood
Rinse the fresh fish fillets, shrimp, mussels, and squid under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels and set aside.

Chop Vegetables
Halve the cherry tomatoes, mince the garlic, and chop the fresh basil. Zest and juice the lemon.

Gather Seasonings
Measure out the olive oil, salt, black pepper, and white wine (if using) and have them ready for cooking.

Sauté Garlic and Tomatoes
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Then add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

Add Seasonings
Sprinkle the salt and black pepper over the seafood. If using, pour in the white wine and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the mussels have opened and the shrimp are pink.

Finish with Lemon and Basil
Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the lemon juice and zest, and fold in the chopped basil. Adjust seasoning to taste.
