Muddle the Ingredients
In an Old Fashioned glass, place the sugar cube at the bottom. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters over the sugar cube and a few drops of water to help dissolve it. Use a muddler to crush the sugar and bitters together until the sugar is mostly dissolved.

Add the Bourbon
Pour 2 ounces of Laws Four Grain Bourbon over the muddled sugar and bitters mixture in the glass.

Add Ice
Fill the glass with one large ice cube or several smaller cubes, ensuring that the bourbon mixture is chilled.

Garnish
Twist the orange zest strip over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass. Finally, add the Luxardo cherry for garnish.
