Method

Omelet

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Chop the mushrooms, and remove the casing from the sausage. Crumble the sausage into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, add the crumbled sausage. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the chopped mushrooms and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. 4

    Beat the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  5. 5

    Cook the Omelet

In the skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture and let it cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until the edges begin to set.

  6. 6

    Add Fillings

Evenly distribute the cooked sausage, sautéed mushrooms, and cheddar cheese over one half of the omelet.

  7. 7

    Fold and Finish

Using a spatula, carefully fold the omelet in half over the fillings. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slide the omelet onto a plate and keep warm while preparing homefries.

Homefries

  1. 9

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Leave the skin on for added texture.

  2. 10

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until they start to brown.

  3. 11

    Add Onion and Seasoning

Add the chopped onion, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes until the potatoes are cooked through and crispy.

  4. 12

    Serve

Serve the homefries alongside the sausage and mushroom omelet.
