RECETAS DE FAMILIA FAMILY RECIPES

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pupusa Dough

In a large bowl, mix the corn masa harina, warm water, and salt until a dough forms. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it's smooth and pliable.

  2. 2

    Fill the Pupusas

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Flatten each piece into a disc, place a tablespoon of shredded cheese and a tablespoon of shredded pork in the center, then fold the dough over the filling and seal it. Gently flatten the pupusa to about 1/2 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pupusas

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a little olive oil. Cook each pupusa for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Scrambled Eggs

In a bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, scramble the eggs until fully cooked and fluffy.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Black Beans

If using canned black beans, rinse and drain them. Heat them in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Make the Vinaigrette Cabbage

In a bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, vinegar, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Toss to combine and let it sit for at least 10 minutes to marinate.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Dish

Serve the cooked pupusas warm, alongside scrambled eggs, black beans, and marinated cabbage. Enjoy your delicious breakfast!
