Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

Start by rinsing the chicken wings under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well until evenly combined.

  3. 3

    Coat the Chicken Wings

Add the dried chicken wings to the bowl of dry ingredients. Toss the wings in the mixture until they are well coated. Shake off any excess flour.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to check the temperature.

  5. 5

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.

  6. 6

    Drain the Wings

Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove the wings from the oil and drain them on a plate lined with paper towels.

  7. 7

    Make the Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Heat over low heat until warm, stirring to combine.

  8. 8

    Toss the Wings in Sauce

Place the fried wings in a large bowl, pour the warm honey sauce over them, and toss to coat evenly.

  9. 9

    Serve

Serve the wings hot, garnished with extra red pepper flakes if desired.
