Method

Preparing the Steak

1

Season the Steak

Sprinkle the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let them rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

2

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or grill pan over high heat. Add olive oil to the grill grates to prevent sticking.

3

Cook the Steak

Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness. During the last minute of cooking, add crushed garlic cloves and fresh rosemary to the grill for flavor.

4

Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the French Fries

5

Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble French fries.

6

Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

7

Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

8

Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the soaked potatoes in batches to the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

9

Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
