Cooking Pasta

Boil Water
Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat.

Add Salt
Once the water is boiling, add 1 tablespoon of salt.

Cook Pasta
Add 8 cups of pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.
Preparing Vegetables

Chop Vegetables
While the pasta is cooking, chop the bell peppers, zucchini, carrot, and asparagus into bite-sized pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes.

Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add Vegetables
Add the chopped bell peppers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, and carrot to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still vibrant.
Combining

Mix Pasta and Vegetables
Once the vegetables are cooked, add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together to combine.

Season
Add black pepper, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped fresh basil. Toss again until everything is well combined.

Serve
Serve the Pasta Primavera hot, garnished with additional Parmesan and basil if desired.
