Method

Preparing the Ribs

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). This low temperature will help cook the ribs slowly, making them tender.

2

Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

3

Season the Ribs

Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the ribs. This will enhance the flavor of the meat.

Making the BBQ Sauce

4

Mix the Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and liquid smoke.

5

Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will thicken the sauce and meld the flavors.

Cooking the Ribs

6

Wrap and Bake

Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until the ribs are tender.

7

Glaze the Ribs

After baking, remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Brush a generous amount of the BBQ sauce over the ribs.

8

Finish on the Grill (Optional)

For a smoky flavor, you can finish the ribs on a grill. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and place the ribs on the grill. Cook for about 5-10 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the sauce is caramelized.

Serving

9

Serve the Ribs

Slice the ribs between the bones and serve them hot with any remaining BBQ sauce on the side.
