Wine Ingredients

Method

Winemaking Process

  1. 1

    Harvesting

Harvest the Pinot Grigio grapes when they reach optimal ripeness, usually in late summer to early fall.

  2. 2

    Crushing

Crush the grapes to release the juice. This can be done manually or with a grape crusher.

  3. 3

    Pressing

Press the crushed grapes to separate the juice from the skins and seeds.

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Add yeast to the juice and allow it to ferment at controlled temperatures (around 12-16°C) for about 2-4 weeks.

  5. 5

    Racking

After fermentation, transfer the wine to another vessel, leaving the sediment behind. This process is known as racking.

  6. 6

    Aging

Age the wine in stainless steel tanks or barrels for 6 months to a year to develop its flavors.

  7. 7

    Filtering and Bottling

Filter the wine to remove any remaining solids and then bottle it. Add sulfites to preserve the wine.
