Baking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x9 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until well combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously until well incorporated.
- 5
Add Dry Ingredients
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, and sea salt into the wet mixture. Gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Incorporate Syrah Wine
Fold in the Syrah wine until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- 7
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
