Preparing the Patties

Mix the Patty Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the Lifrieda burger blend with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 inch thick.
Cooking the Bacon

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.
Cooking the Patties

Cook the First Side
In the same skillet with some bacon grease, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes on one side.

Cook the Second Side
Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.

Prepare the Lettuce
Wash and dry the lettuce, then chop it into bite-sized pieces.

Slice the Tomato and Onion
Slice the tomato and onion thinly.
Toasting the Buns

Layer the Vegetables
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread a layer of fancy sauce, then add the lettuce, tomato slices, and onion.

Build the Burger
Place one cheesy patty on top, followed by two slices of crispy bacon, and then top with the second cheesy patty.

Complete the Burger Assembly
Finish with the top half of the bun and repeat for the second burger.
