Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 120°C (250°F). Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs and season generously with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a medium bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Slow Cook the Ribs

Place the ribs in a large baking dish and coat them with half of the BBQ sauce. Cover tightly with foil and place in the preheated oven. Cook for 7.5 hours.

  2. 4

    Baste and Finish

After 7.5 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and discard the foil. Brush the remaining BBQ sauce over the ribs. Optionally, place them under the broiler for 5-10 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

  3. 5

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
