Boil the Spaghetti
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, grated carrot, and chopped celery. Sauté until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Cook the Ground Beef
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the crushed canned tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serving the Dish

Combine and Serve
Once the sauce has thickened and flavors have melded, serve the sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
