Preparation
- 1
Cook the Fettuccini
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Clams
In a separate bowl, soak the fresh clams in cold water for about 20 minutes to remove any sand. Rinse thoroughly and set aside.
Cooking the Sauce
- 3
Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, taking care not to burn it.
- 4
Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, and add red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Cooking Seafood
- 5
Add Clams
Add the prepared clams to the sauce. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the clams open up. Discard any clams that do not open.
- 6
Add Shrimp and Scallops
Stir in the shrimp and scallops. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and opaque.
Final Assembly
- 7
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccini to the skillet with the seafood and sauce. Toss gently to combine, ensuring that the pasta is well coated.
- 8
Garnish and Serve
Serve the seafood fettuccini in bowls, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Enjoy!
