Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Dredge each piece in flour, shaking off any excess.

  2. 2

    Wrap with Prosciutto

Lay one slice of prosciutto over each chicken breast, pressing gently to adhere.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sear the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts (prosciutto-side down) and cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

  3. 5

    Deglaze and Add Liquids

Pour in the Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Bring to a simmer.

  4. 6

    Return Chicken to the Skillet

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for about 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

Finishing Touch

  1. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle chopped parsley over the chicken marsala before serving. Enjoy with pasta or crusty bread.
