Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine the Wagyu beef, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix until the seasonings are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into equal portions and form into a patty, approximately ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help it cook evenly.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a crust forms. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, adding the cheese slice on top during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Bun

Lightly toast the burger bun on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, layer the lettuce, followed by the tomato (sliced), the cooked Wagyu patty with melted cheese, pickled red onion, and finally, the top half of the bun.
