Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Season the Patties

Take the Wagyu beef patties and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

If necessary, shape the ground Wagyu beef into two equal-sized patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than the burger buns as they will shrink while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the seasoned Wagyu patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms.

  3. 5

    Flip and Add Cheese

Flip the patties and add a slice of cheese on top of each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a slice of tomato, the cooked Wagyu patty with melted cheese, and a generous portion of pickled red onion.

  3. 8

    Complete the Assembly

Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently to secure. Serve immediately.
