Method

Preparation of Meats

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your grill to medium heat. Rub the pork ribs with a mixture of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about 2 to 2.5 hours, turning occasionally, until tender.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pulled Pork

In a slow cooker, add the pulled pork and pour in half of the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours until the pork shreds easily with a fork.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Burnt Ends

Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C). Cut the brisket into 1-inch cubes and season with salt and pepper. Smoke for about 2 hours. After 2 hours, toss the burnt ends with remaining BBQ sauce and cook for an additional hour.

Preparation of Sides

  1. 4

    Make the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, mix shredded cabbage, carrots, and coleslaw dressing. Toss well to combine and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  2. 5

    Prepare Baked Beans

In a pot, combine canned baked beans with some additional BBQ sauce, and heat over medium until warmed through.

  3. 6

    Bake Cornbread

Prepare cornbread mix according to package instructions and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  4. 7

    Cook Macaroni and Cheese

Cook macaroni according to package instructions. In a separate pot, make cheese sauce with butter, milk, and cheese. Combine with macaroni and mix thoroughly.

Final Assembly

  1. 8

    Assemble the BBQ Platter

On a large platter, arrange the ribs, pulled pork, and burnt ends. Serve with your choice of two sides and additional BBQ sauce on the side.
