Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Lemon Garlic Broccoli

Method

Pork Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Steak

Rub the Patchwork pork steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Grill the Pork Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the pork steak for about 6-8 minutes per side or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  3. 3

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce

During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the house BBQ sauce over the steak and let it caramelize slightly.

House BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix BBQ Sauce Ingredients

In a bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 5

    Simmer the BBQ Sauce

Pour the mixture into a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside to cool.

Mashed Sweet Potatoes

  1. 6

    Boil Sweet Potatoes

Peel and cut sweet potatoes into chunks. Boil them in salted water for about 15-20 minutes or until tender.

  2. 7

    Mash Sweet Potatoes

Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, and salt. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Lemon Garlic Broccoli

  1. 8

    Prepare the Broccoli

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add broccoli florets and blanch for 2-3 minutes until bright green. Drain and immediately transfer to ice water to stop cooking.

  2. 9

    Sauté Broccoli

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the blanched broccoli, lemon juice, and salt. Toss and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
