Method
Preparing the Ribs
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This low temperature will help the ribs cook slowly and become tender.
- 2
Prepare the Ribs
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. This will help the ribs become more tender and allow the seasoning to penetrate better.
- 3
Season the Ribs
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the ribs, ensuring even coverage.
- 4
Wrap and Bake
Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
Finishing Touches

- 6
Broil
Place the ribs under the broiler for 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- 7
Rest and Serve
Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with coleslaw and cornbread on the side.
