LUNCH ENTREE

  1. 1

Remove ham steaks from the refrigerator and pat dry. Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

Sear the ham steaks 3-4 minutes per side, until browned on the outside and warmed through. Remove from skillet and tent with foil to keep warm.

  4. 4

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and swirl until melted. Whisk in brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, pineapple juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper to form a glaze.

  5. 5

Return ham steaks to the skillet. Pour glaze over the top, cooking 4-6 minutes, brushing occasionally with glaze until thick and glossy and the ham is heated through.

  6. 6

Add pineapple slices to the skillet and cook 1-2 minutes per side, allowing them to caramelize slightly in the glaze.

  7. 7

If the glaze thickens too much, loosen with a small amount of water and stir to desired consistency.

  8. 8

Transfer the ham steaks to serving plates, spoon extra glaze over, and garnish with the caramelized pineapple slices. Let rest 2-3 minutes before serving.
