Method
Turkey Burger
- 1
Prepare the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 2
Shape the Patties
Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
- 3
Cook the Patties
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the turkey patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Gruyere cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- 4
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, cut the brioche buns in half and toast them lightly in a separate skillet or toaster.
Aioli
- 5
Prepare the Aioli
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until smooth.
Pommes Frites
- 6
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips to resemble fries.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Use enough oil to submerge the fries completely.
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the potato strips in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 9
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
