Base Ingredients

Sweetener (Optional)

Flavor Enhancements (Optional)

Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the tea bags. Allow them to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags from the pot. If desired, squeeze the tea bags gently to extract more flavor.

Adding Sweetener (if desired)

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If you prefer sweet tea, add your choice of sugar, honey, or stevia to the hot tea. Stir well until dissolved.

Flavoring (if desired)

  1. 5

    Add Flavor Enhancements

If desired, add lemon juice or mint leaves to the tea for additional flavor. Stir gently to combine.

Serving the Tea

  1. 6

    Serve

Pour the tea into cups or glasses. You may serve it hot or allow it to cool and serve it over ice for iced tea.
