Method
Preparation of Fries
- 1
Cut the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to make fries.
- 2
Soak the Potatoes
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 3
Dry the Potatoes
Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel.
Cooking Fries
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
- 6
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
Cooking Steak and Vegetables
- 7
Season the Steak
Generously season the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 8
Sear the Steaks
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- 9
Rest the Steaks
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- 10
Making Beef Crème Sauce
- 11
Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- 12
Season the Sauce
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened.
